Richard Else is SigmaRho Consulting’s founder.  He has more than thirty years of experience working in Manufacturing for Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren Automotive Ltd and other businesses.  During his time with JLR, Richard was Operations Director for Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich facility in Birmingham before taking over the leadership of the award-winning Halewood factory in Liverpool where he was responsible for trebling the size of the workforce and production output in his first 18 months in charge, moving to three shifts and 24/7 Operation for the first time in the plant’s history.

At McLaren, Richard was Executive Director of Manufacturing in Woking leading the ambitious manufacturing strategy to support the Track 22 business plan, increasing production output three-fold during his tenure.  More recently Richard was COO in a start-up SME OEM where he was responsible for leading the company’s exciting growth plans, doubling turnover in the first year.  Richard’s last role was as Managing Director for the UK Division of Trigo, a global Quality and Business Turnaround Services provider.

Richard is an engineer by qualification, with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University.  He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Richard’s career history has enabled him to gain extensive experience across multiple disciplines and at all levels including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Production Management, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Product Launch, Safety Management, People Engagement, Training & Development and Teamworking.  Richard has been responsible for leading and delivering multiple complex successful transformational interventions during his career.
